Welcome to the Chicago Underground Film Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Underground Film Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.

Chicago Underground Film Festival Annually screening upwards of 30 features and more than 100 shorts, the Chicago Underground Film Festival is one of the most important underground cinema events in the US and takes place each year at Landmark's Century Centre Cinema.
The juried competition gives cash prizes to the winning films in various genres. As well as fiction features and shorts, the program also takes in videos, animations, documentaries and experimental cinema.
The event was founded in 1994 to showcase independent cinema that challenges commercial expectations.
